Genesis uses dedicated energy crops to develop biomass, biofuel, and bio-chemical projects. These crops allow production of biofuels without detrimental impacts on food supply or the environment. Current initiatives are based on a fast-growth tree called Paulownia and an oilseed called Camelina. These crops grow on marginal land, can remediate soil, and provide opportunities in nearly any climate in the world for biofuel feedstock production. Dedicated energy crops, with integrated conversion technologies, allow security in feedstock supply and pricing, and can provide very good economics for landowners as well as end-product users.
